How We Started
A few years ago, we started paying closer attention to what we put in and on our bodies. We were especially concerned after researching the detrimental health effects of commercially processed foods, cleaning products, and cosmetics (not to mention their damage to the environment).
So, we made some major lifestyle changes. First, we put in an organic, raised bed garden. We now produce large, gorgeous vegetables that commercial growers would envy.
Next, we started making handmade body and laundry soaps, so we could avoid the harmful chemicals found in store-bought brands. One year and a few hundred test bars later, we came up with the perfect soap recipe.
We started giving our soap to friends and family … and got rave reviews! As more and more people asked for our soap, we realized it was time to offer it to everyone. Keep in mind that we originally designed the soap for personal use – we had high standards! Certainly, we uphold these standards today. So, our soap won’t be the cheapest on the market. But we guarantee you’ll get exactly what you pay for: an exceptional bar of soap!
You won’t find beautiful soap art on our site (that’s not what we do), but you will find the absolute finest handmade, cold process soaps, designed to nourish every inch of your skin. We also invite you to experience the joy of the aromatherapy built into every bar of Plantana soap.
Making soap takes hard work and lots of patience. But it’s completely worthwhile when we hear our customers’ amazing feedback. Not a week goes by without customers telling us they no longer need to use moisturizing lotions, thanks to our soap. And how they take extra-long showers just because the aromatherapy brightens their day. And how problem skin areas are now problem-free. How could we not love what we do?
Thank you for learning more about us. We hope you’ll purchase our soap and experience first-hand its amazing benefits. If you choose not to buy from us, please do your research and find another quality soapmaker you can trust. The only reason large corporations get away with putting harmful products on shelves is because we allow them to.
